The Worcester Club was founded in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1888. The Club is proud of its heritage and reputation as Worcester’s premier private, social club. Housed in the former Isaac Davis mansion at One Oak Street, the Worcester Club is where social, business and community leaders have gathered for generations. Since its establishment in 1888, The Worcester Club has built its reputation on values of tradition, service, and social bonds, but also, cuisine known throughout the Commonwealth. On a Tuesday evening on March 27th, 1888, forty-one gentlemen met at the former Isaac Davis mansion and voted to establish The Worcester Club. Since then, The Worcester Club has grown to be the location where social, business and community leaders have gathered for generations.
Today’s club members enjoy broadening their circle of friends and acquaintances through the Club’s frequent social events and activities, which form the core of club life. Member amenities include fine and casual dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as private dining and meeting room facilities for social, family and business occasions.
Club dining offers full-service breakfast and lunch menus for its members, Monday through Friday. In the evenings, the Worcester Club comes alive with dining options, whether it be cocktails at the bar in the Taft Lounge, a lighter fare dining menu or true fine dining in our One Oak Street dining room, the Worcester Club stands ready to serve its members and their guests.
